The Wellis Aromatherapy

What is aromatherapy? Aromatherapy is a treatment practised in holistic healing that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and wellness. Many beauty parlours offer essential oil therapies which is pretty much the same. In aromatherapy, aromatic fragrances and essential oils are used in treatments to improve the health of the mind and spirit. It enhances both physical and mental health, it has a positive effect on our emotions.

There are five main pillars of personal wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual.

For someone to feel “well” in their skin, it is essential that we do not neglect any of these pillars. However, we never really consider all aspects of wellness. Apart from fitness and diet, we don’t really think about our mental or intellectual health, but we really should as it is strongly linked to our overall wellbeing, because our mental health is affecting our physical health – and vice versa. This is the reason we should always aim to keep healthier for longer and look into preventative options. Holistic healing is important because it includes all pillars of personal wellness covering sleep patterns, to stress, the effectiveness of your diet and whether if you’re happy.

There are ways you can strengthen your personal wellness, and aromatherapy helps improve your emotional, spiritual and mental well-being, so it has a positive effect on your overall health. Elements of aromatherapy include inhalation, aromatherapy bath, and massage with essential oils – you can enjoy all of them in Wellis spas, which combine a hydrotherapy experience and the power of your favourite fragrances.

Our tubs are equipped with new, improved aroma pumps and the fragrance is added to the water in liquid form using a pump dispenser. Simply insert an aromatherapy cartridge or essential oil into the dedicated space for it, and the aromas will permeate the entire hot tub when the hydromassage function is started.

The stress relief of the parasympathetic nervous system’s opiate transmitters can be increased with light (chromo) therapy added to the aromatherapy essential oils. For a complete relaxation both light and aromatherapy is offered by our hot tubs.

The exclusive colour therapy lighting is built directly into the inner wall around the spa under the water, including 12-20 LEDs to offer an ultimate regeneration and relaxation.

At the end of your bath, you’ll feel more relaxed and rested than after spending an hour or two on your favourite seaside beach.

Aromatherapy is available in our PeakLine and CityLine hot tubs. Chromotherapy lighting is offered in all Wellis hot tubs.
